Subsill Flashing System
Designed and manufactured in New Zealand, the BRANZ appraised Baritec system provides a door and window flashing solution that is solid, durable and can be installed under almost any weather conditions. Baritec is easy to install, with interlocking components requiring no adhesion to the substrate, significantly reducing the possibility of door or window weathertightness failure or degradation of substrate surface. Although more expensive to buy than traditional flashing tape options, Baritec pays for itself by increasing the productivity of the build - reducing delays, labour costs and providing an easy, quality result first time.
Formed from two main components - an extruded length profile and an injection molded corner soaker, the Baritec system is specifically designed to accommodate flexible wrap or any flat sheet RAB membrane. It provides a completely flat surface around the perimeter, allowing a precise window installation and airseal.
The Baritec AL4570 silicone is specially formulated for use with ASA plastic, but is also suitable for bonding to wood, fibre cement and other porous surfaces. The silicone is E2 / AS1 compliant.
Reduce risk
- solid one piece corner soakers eliminate common corner junction failure
- interlocking system so not reliant on contact adhesion
- 15 year warranty on all components
Eliminate weather dependence
- can be installed in less than 10C and over 30C temperatures without any additional procedures
- no heating of timber and flashing tapes in cold temperatures
- timber can be damp to no effect
- UV stable in excess of 90 days, so any delays in installing the cladding pose no risk to the integrity of the weathertightness
- can be installed in wet weather, significantly reducing downtime and delays often experienced when trying to apply flashing tapes
Installation made easy
- less than half the labour hours compared to alternative flashing products
- straightforward installation assures quality results every time
- can be installed by apprentices or labour hands with the supervision of a LBP
- can be installed in all wind zones up to and including extra high
- can be used with flexible wrap or rigid air barrier systems
- easy to follow instructions supplied
